Plastik-Auslage in einem Restaurant

In contrary to the information of our guidebook, it was hard to find restaurants which offered menues in English. It was very risky to order something from a japanese menue. But a peculiarity helps foreigners to get some food they like. In a shop-window the restaurants food is shown in plastic.

To order, you walk out with the waiter and point out your menue. This amuses all other guests, but it works well.

In the exotic restaurant to the right this peculiarity helps the Japanese, too.

Sushi-round-about At a Sushi-roundabout (the jap. way of fast-food) you don't have a problem with ordering. Just pick up what you like from the assembly-line.

Here the fresh prepared sushi passes by. You take what you like!!

Out of the tap comes hot water for tea, in the middle you see the pickled ginger. The sushis are dipped in a mixture of soja-sauce and Wasabi (spicy horseradish). The price you have to pay depends on the colour and number of the plates.

While you enjoy this delightful fast-food, you can watch the nimble cooks doing their work.
